What is llms.txt?
llms.txt is a simple text file you place at the root of your website (like robots.txt) that provides structured information about your business for AI systems. It's the most effective way to ensure the AI has accurate, complete information.
If you don't have an llms.txt file, the crawler will still index your site pages automatically. But having one gives the AI better context and more accurate answers.
Customisation Options
From your admin dashboard, you can configure:
- Widget colours — primary, secondary, and background to match your brand
- Position — bottom-right or bottom-left
- Welcome message — greet visitors when the widget opens
- System prompt — customise the AI's personality and instructions
- AI model — choose between different OpenAI models
- Voice settings — language, accent, business hours, forward number
When the AI Can't Help
If the AI doesn't have enough information to answer a question, it will honestly say so and direct the visitor to your contact page. It never makes up information or guesses.
